San Diego County Sheriff's Department Gun Safety Event

The San Diego County Sheriff's Department is partnering with the San Diego County District Attorney's Office and Carlsbad Police Department to get unwanted guns off our streets. 

Join them for a Gun Safety Event on Saturday, November 4th, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at Encinitas City Hall (505 South Vulcan Avenue, Encinitas).

Turn in your unwanted gun and receive a gift card ($100 for handguns, rifles and shotguns and $200 for assault weapons and ghost guns). Remain anonymous. No questions asked.

Firearms must be in working order.

Place the unloaded firearm in the trunk of your vehicle.

A deputy or officer will provide instructions.

All weapons collected will be destroyed.

We are also providing FREE gun cable locks and security boxes (while supplies last) to people looking to secure firearms kept in their homes.
