Building Services

If you have a project that only affects one component of your structure, such as installing a new water heater, EV Charger, or changing out your windows; then you might only require Building Services assistance to issue a building permit and inspect your project. 

Planning Services

If your project is more involved such as a larger residential remodel, then you might require more than one permit as well as review of the lot and zoning requirements.  Planning Services will guide you through the necessary steps and approvals.

Engineering Department

Some projects require special permits or plans that need to be reviewed by our Engineering Department to ensure compliance with safety requirements and coordinate the interface of private projects with public infrastructure.

Call 811 for DigAlert

811 for DigAlert is an Underground Service Alert of Southern California. Excavators’ permits are not valid until they have contacted DigAlert by calling 811, or by creating an online ticket at www.digalert.org at least two (2) full working days before excavation work begins to get an inquiry identification number.
