Community Services

The mission of the Community Services Department is to create an enriched community through people, parks, and programs which reflect and nurture our diverse cultural values and artistic vitality. Art and Recreation make the small City of Solana Beach a beautiful, vital, and fun place to live.

Solana Beach is home to many professional artists who, along with the Public Arts Commission, advise the City on ways to enhance our public places, as well as contribute to the quality, uniqueness and identity of Solana Beach. Many involved and active residents work with the Parks and Recreation Commission to plan annual and special events and activities in the parks, community centers and beaches.
