City Hall Service Counters

The City of Solana Beach strives to provide efficient and dedicated service to our community. To better assist you, we have designated service counters for various needs, including the Building Permit Counter, Engineering Counter, Planning Counter, and Cashier Counter.

We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the hours of operation for each counter to plan your visits accordingly. If you have any inquiries or require assistance, our dedicated staff are here to help.

Building Permit Counter

Located on the first floor within the Planning/Engineering counter.

Hours of Operations:

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM*
  • Alternate Fridays: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM*
  • *Closed daily from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
  • Inspector Office Hours: 7:30 AM – 8:30 PM

Most services are now digital. Certain services are by appointment only to ensure staff availability. Please contact us at Counter@cosb.org  for more information.

Engineering Services Counter

Located on the first floor within the Planning/Engineering counter.

Hours of Operations:

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM*
  • Alternate Fridays: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • *Closed Mondays from 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM

Planning Services Counter

  • Alternate Fridays: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Cashier Counter

Operated by the Finance Department, the Cashier Counter is located on the second floor.

New Operating Hours (Effective April 1, 2024*):

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Alternate Fridays: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

*These revised hours aim to streamline our finance operations, ensuring that transactions are processed efficiently, and payments are reconciled and deposited before the closure of City Hall. Your cooperation and understanding during this adjustment are greatly appreciated.
