Potential Power Shutoffs Due to Red Flag Warning
The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for Inland Orange County and the San Diego County valleys and mountains, effective from 10 AM on Monday, December 9th, through 4 AM on Wednesday, December 11th.
Residents are advised to prepare for potential power outages as these conditions may impact the electric infrastructure serving Solana Beach. San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) is monitoring the situation and may implement a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) as a precautionary measure to reduce wildfire risks in high-risk areas.
If a PSPS occurs, power will not be restored until conditions are safe. Coastal North County neighborhoods, including those with underground power lines, may experience outages because they are connected to transmission lines that could be affected by the shutoff.
Residents are encouraged to monitor updates on the following resources:

Everyone is encouraged to take necessary precautions and plan for potential power disruptions should one occur. For questions or concerns, please contact SDG&E or visit the resources listed above.
