Solana Beach Marine Safety Captain Leads Lifeguards to Victory at the Solento Surf Festival

On September 16th, the 2nd annual Solento Surf Festival took place at Seaside Beach, offering a day of family-friendly entertainment featuring surf contests, live music, and delicious food and drinks. One of the standout and unique surf contests was the "Fire vs Water" competition, which pitted the top surfers from North County's Lifeguard and Fire Departments against each other in an exciting tag team battle.

In a thrilling turn of events, Solana Beach's Marine Safety Captain, Jason Shook, dominated the competition and led the lifeguards to their second consecutive victory in the contest. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Captain Shook and his team for this well-deserved and enjoyable triumph!
