The SeaWeeders' 11th annual Poinsettia Sale fundraiser is underway!
The Solana Beach Garden Club is once again offering gorgeous locally grown red Ecke Prestige Poinsettias in 6-inch pots for $12. In addition, this year they are offering Christmas Cactus (Schlumbergera Truncata) in 6-inch pots for $10 each.
Elevate your holiday decor while supporting a cause that benefits public gardens in our community. All proceeds contribute to beautification projects in Solana Beach.

Pre-orders can be picked up on Sat. November 25th between 9:00 AM & noon at the Center for a Healthy Lifestyle cottage behind the Boys & Girls Club (533 Lomas Santa Fe Drive).
Fundraiser Event
Unreserved plants will be available for sale on Saturday, November 25th between 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the following two locations:

- Solana Beach Post Office (153 S. Sierra Ave.)
This is a one-day only event – un-reserved poinsettias will be available at both locations until we sell out.

Who are the SeaWeeders?
The Solana Beach Garden Club, known as the SeaWeeders, mission is to promote the sustainable beautification of the City of Solana Beach through social interaction, garden education, and home and civic enrichment.
The SeaWeeders assisted the City in many well-known projects, such as the La Colonia Butterfly Garden, El Viento Pocket Park, Solana Beach Fire Station, Solana Beach Post Office, and the Coastal Rail Trail.
The club’s roots date to 1953, when the Women’s Civic Club, now known as the Solana Beach Civic & Historical Society, formed to focus on the beautification of Solana Beach. It was renamed in 2004 when Donna Golich, Gerri Retman-Opper and others adopted the task of maintaining a community garden section of the Coastal Rail Trail. Local landscape designer Katie Pelisek and Sandy Parish formally revived the SeaWeeders in 2012. The Club's current president is Kathleen Drummond.
Gardening enthusiasts who live in Solana Beach and neighboring communities are welcome to join their monthly meetings and volunteer activities.
