City Council Meetings Highlights - June 2024

Regular Meetings of the Solana Beach City Council are held at 6:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at City Hall, 635 S. Highway 101.

The following are highlights of items at the May 2024 City Council Meetings.

• Accepted the state-mandated annual fire inspection report in conjunction with SB 1205 and Health and Safety Code Section 13146.4.
   
• Called and gave notice of November 5, 2024 General Municipal Election for the election of Mayor, Councilmember District 1, and Councilmember District 3.
   
• Approved the Solid Waste and Recycling rate increases for EDCO Waste and Recycling Services for Fiscal Year 2024/25.
   
• Approved the annual Fire Benefit fees for Fisal Year 2024/25 at $10 per unit as approved by the voters in April 1980.
   
• Approved the Fical Year 2024/25 Municipal Improvement Districts Benefit (MID) Fees for Mid No. 9C, Santa Fe Hills; MID No. 9E, Isla Verde; MID No. 9H, San Elijo Hills #2; MID No. 33, Highway 101/Railroad Right-of-Way
   
• Approved the Work Plan for Fiscal Year 2024/25.
   
• Approved a construction contract for the 2024 Street Maintenance and Repairs Project Bid No. 2024-06 to Quality Construction & Engineering in the amount of $927,487.60.
   
• Approved a Citywide Street Sweeping Services agreement with Sweeping Corporation of California in Fiscal Year 2024/25 not to exceed $99,681.
   
• Approved the Fiscal year 2024/25 Solana Beach Coastal Rail Trail Maintenance District annual assessments.
   
• Approved the Fiscal Year 2024/25 Solana Beach Lighting Maintenance District annual assessments.
