Christmas Tree Curbside Collection
Residents can recycle Christmas trees by placing trees in the green organic waste cart and not curbside on your regular collection day from December 26, 2023 through January 6, 2024.
Please remember to remove all lights, ornaments, tinsel and the tree stand before recycling your tree.
Trees over four feet should be cut in half for collection.
Flocked trees cannot be collected curbside and must be brought to the drop-off locations listed below.
Christmas Tree Drop-Off Locations
Drop-off sites will also be available from December 26, 2023 through January 6, 2024 at City Hall, 635 S. Hwy 101, and La Colonia Park, 715 Valley Avenue. Drop-off locations are for CHRISTMAS TREES ONLY.
Christmas trees do not need to be cut down for recycling at drop-off locations. Please remember to remove all lights and ornaments before recycling your tree.

- Christmas Cards & Wrapping Paper: Recycle as mixed paper in your blue cart.
- Styrofoam Packaging: Recycle in your blue cart (no packing peanuts).
- Gift & Cardboard Boxes: Flatten boxes and recycle as mixed paper in your blue recycling cart.
- Christmas Trees and Wreaths: Recycle wreaths as green waste in your green organic waste cart for collection. Please remove all ornaments. Christmas trees can be recycled by placing them at the curb on your collection day per above mentioned instructions and curbside collection dates. Please remove all lights and ornaments.
