The City of Solana Beach and the Belly Up Tavern are proud to announce the return of the summer “Concerts at the Cove” series.  Concerts at the Cove will bring local musicians to the Fletcher Cove Park stage in performances designed for audiences of all ages.

The concert series emphasizes family recreation and cultural experiences in a relaxed outdoor setting by the beach, and provides an opportunity for families and friends to enjoy a variety of musical styles at sunset.  Concerts will be held every Thursday night throughout the summer from June 13th to August 8th, from 6:00 PM to 7:45 PM.

The public is encouraged to bring low-back beach chairs, ground cover and picnics. No alcohol, tobacco, pets or personal BBQ’s allowed during concerts. If you are planning to bring dinner, please remember to shop locally!

This Week's Performance: The Shoreline Pickers

The Shoreline Pickers band originated from casual jam sessions at the shoreline of Mission Bay.  We love acoustic music and enjoy the contributions of the various instruments.  The members are Mary Jane Cupp on mandolin, Mark Pullin on guitar, Pete Varhola on bass, John Deckard on harmonica, and Robin Felix on fiddle.  All members contribute vocals as well.  The Shoreline Pickers have performed at San Diego County libraries, the San Diego County Fair, San Diego Bluegrass Society, North County Bluegrass and Folk Club, churches, and civic organizations.  We enjoy playing traditional Bluegrass, some Old Time, and other Americana.
